“It’s cancer.” Few words have as much potential to turn life upside down and change everything in an instant. But more than 1.5 million people will hear these words this year in the United States alone. That’s over 4,000 a day!
There are currently more than 15 million people in the United State living with cancer. Everyone knows someone close to them who is dealing with cancer . . . people we love and care about the most – family, friends and colleagues.

GROW Meeting
The Grow Meeting has been rescheduled again ... it will not meet on Monday due to key people being unable to attend. The rescheduled date has not been announced yet.

Web Development Team Meeting
Anyone wanting to get involved with, or make suggestions on, SVBC's internet presence (website, facebook, etc) are invited to a Web Development Team meeting on Tuesday, August 24th, at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held in the upstairs computer lab (located on the Rt.11 side, above the men's room) and will last until 8:00 at the latest. Website Updates Planned
The SVBC Website will be undergoing some behind-the-scenes updates and improvements. There will be very little changing visually, but some significant work being done under the hood. This process will take quite a bit of time to complete and I'm shooting for everything to be completed by October 1st, sooner if additional help can be recruited. During this time the website will continue to have Sunday messages and important announcements posted, but there will be no other activity on the website during this time. The Calendar will also be kept current. We're working on setting a date for a Web Development Team meeting which will address the updates that will take place.
